
Astrid Fournier-Laroque
Astrid Fournier-Laroque is a mezzo-soprano and actress. She sang and played the harp in A round is a round, based on Gertrude Stein and directed by Catherine Bayle. She portrayed Penelope in the adaptation of Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno d’Ulysse in Patria with the company LaSiLab’, and Madame de la Haltière in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Cie Les Mauvais Élèves).
She participated in Un autre jour viendra, a production centered around the texts of Mahmoud Darwich, directed by David Ayala, alongside Reda Kateb and Simon Abkarian. Additionally, she performed in No Rest, a recital honoring migrants.
Since 2018, she has been part of the all-female a cappella vocal ensemble Aïgal, with which she won the Jury’s Honor Prize at the International Léopold Bellan Competition in 2019. The ensemble has created two shows: Les Présents du Soleil and Trobaïritz.
Astrid has also acted in L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine by Eugène Labiche, Chantecler by Edmond Rostand, and Un Otage by Brendan Behan. In 2023, she directed À la croisée by Penda Diouf at the Théâtre National de la Colline in Paris.
In 2024, she performed and sang in Le chant de l’arbre (directed by Laurent Dupont) and in La Belle Hélène by Offenbach (directed by Flannan Obé).
