« 5 DREAMERS AND A HORSE » by VAHAGN KHACHATRYAN and AREN MALAKYAN (2022)

Through four characters aspiring to achieve their dreams, three Armenias emerge.
There is an elevator operator in a hospital who dreams of traveling to space, a farmer in search of the perfect wife, and two young queer and feminist women who simply want to live their lives... while waiting for the manifestations of a revolution that brings hope.
Vahagn Khachatryan is studying filmmaking in Beijing. His first feature film, 5 Dreamers and a Horse, is nominated for the Silver Eye Awards. Aren Malakyan studied at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. He has directed several award-winning short films, including Girl On The Moon (2014), which won the Armenian President’s Award. He is currently developing, with Vahagn Khachatryan, the feature film Flying Cows, slated for 2025.
In the presence of both filmmakers, the screening will be followed by a discussion hosted by Antoine Perraud, Mediapart.
