CONCERT BY THE BESTER QUARTET

Duration: 1 hour
20€ / 10€

The Bester Quartet boldly blends jazz, klezmer, contemporary classical and avant-garde music. Emerging from the evolution of the legendary Cracow Klezmer Band, founded in Kraków in 1997 by Jarosław Bester, the quartet now comprises Jarosław Bester on the accordion, Maciej Adamczak on the double bass, Dawid Lubowicz on the violin and Ryszard Pałka on the drums.

The ensemble has developed a unique musical language in which improvisation serves as the starting point for free-form and unexpected musical structures. Having performed all over the world and collaborated with artists such as John Zorn, Tomasz Stańko, Don Byron and Frank London, the Bester Quartet continues to pursue a virtuosic, inventive and deeply expressive approach.
