OFFICIAL FESTIVAL OPENING

The festival opens under the sign of depth and emotion: actress Annie Dutoit-Argerich lends her voice to Eugène Ionesco’s masterpiece Exit the King, a profoundly moving work that explores, with intensity, the notions of mortality and time. In resonance, the luminous piano of Axia Marinescu, an internationally acclaimed pianist, offers the audience an intimate musical experience where the power of words meets the brilliance of sound—through Bach, Mozart, Schubert, and Debussy.

The evening will be honored by the exceptional presence of filmmaker Cristian Mungiu, Palme d’Or winner and special guest of the festival, whose work powerfully embodies the vitality and creativity of contemporary Romania.
