OPENING OF THE FESTIVAL — ARMENIA : MUSIC !

André Manoukian, a composer, songwriter, and an iconic figure in the jazz world, as well as a renowned pianist, has performed alongside great figures such as Charles Aznavour, Michel Petrucciani, Richard Galliano, Diane Dufresne, and Nicole Croisille. His latest album, Anouch, as personal as it is majestic, is a heartfelt tribute to his Armenian grandmother. The second part of the album will be released in 2025. He will be accompanied on tablas by Mosin Kawa. Arpi Alto is a singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. Her influences range from Armenian folklore to classical music, jazz, and pop. Cellist Artyom Manukyan feels at home in jazz clubs, concert halls, and rock festivals. He performs with top international artists like Melody Gardot, composes for films, and leads an electro-jazz group, the Yerevan Calling Quartet. This exceptional concert will bring together these talents in a blend of complementary styles, united by a jazzy sensibility and the richness of Armenian roots.
Rima Pipoyan, choreographer and festival special guest, will be present.
The concert will be preceded by a reading from actor Olivier Martinaud of an original text by Aram Pachyan, winner of the European Union Prize for Literature in 2021.
