Olivier Martinaud
Olivier Martinaud is an actor and director. He was trained at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art (CNSAD) in the classes of Éric Ruf and Joël Jouanneau. He directed Le Nom by Jon Fosse (CNSAD, 2002) and Olivier Libaux’s musical Imbécile (Café de la Danse, 2007). With his company, he staged Erich von Stroheim by Christophe Pellet (Scène Nationale de Forbach, 2010), Mes prix littéraires by Thomas Bernhard, in which he performed alongside Claude Aufaure (La Loge, 2012), and Les Inquiets et les brutes by Nis-Momme Stockmann, with Laurent Sauvage and Daniel Delabesse (Lucernaire, 2015).
He has also voiced texts by Alban Lefranc (Théâtre Ouvert), Stéphanie Chaillou (Actoral), Aiat Fayez (MC93), and Marie de Quatrebarbes (Le Goût des autres). In film, he played the lead male role in Notre histoire (Jean, Stacy et les autres) by Vincent Dietschy and has worked with directors such as Roberto Andò, Tsai Ming-Liang, Vincent Dieutre, and Charlotte Pouyaud. On the radio, he has recorded numerous texts for France Culture. He has also provided voice work for Arte, the Centre Pompidou, and nineteen audiobooks.
He regularly presents readings at La Maison de la Poésie and at various festivals, museums, and art centers. He recently read La Maison by Julien Gracq at the Villa Medici, for which he is currently preparing a creation with musician Nicolas Repac.
