LENDING YOUR VOICE TO THE INVISIBLE
Photographer Nazik Armenakyan focuses on those who live on the margins of Armenian society. With Red Black White, she denounces the invisibility faced by women living with HIV in Armenia. Élise Boghossian leads the NGO Elisecare, which assists victims in war zones. Deeply affected by the recent Turkish-Azerbaijani attacks, she revisits the history of Armenia and its people through the figure of her ancestors in Les Sacrifiés (Plon 2024). This book is an ode to memory, an attempt to right injustices. It is a dialogue between two committed women trying to give a voice to those who can no longer speak.
