« MANOUCHIAN, THE POET » : A POETIC RECITAL
"Before becoming a national hero for France, Missak Manouchian was a poet. A stateless artist. His writing emerged from survival. His poetry brings us a breath of life, from the mountains of Adiyaman in Anatolia. (...) Missak loved Melinée with an ‘overwhelming love’, as she would write in her book. I wish to recount this love story, torn apart by war."
This poetic recital with Armenian cabaret accents is imagined by actor and director Hovnatan Avédikian, who notably stars in Monsieur Aznavour, the biographical film by Grand Corps Malade and Medhi Idir. He will be accompanied on stage by his father, actor and director Serge Avédikian, musician Anis Faris, and mezzo-soprano and actress Astrid Fournier-Laroque.
Free admission, subject to availability.
