Felicia Waldman is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Bucharest, where she directs the Center for Hebrew Studies and the Master’s program in Hebrew Culture and Civilization. She has also taught in Iași, Milan, and Montpellier 3 as a visiting professor. Her research covers Jewish history and heritage in Romania, Jewish mysticism, Israeli literature, Holocaust education, memory and identity policies in multicultural contexts, as well as historical lessons on migration and integration. She is the author of five books, including Stories and Images of Jewish Bucharest (2011), Tales and Traces of Sephardic Bucharest (2016), In the Footsteps of Jacques Elias (2023) – all three co-written with Anca Ciuciu Tudorancea – and The Halfon Saga (2024). She has also edited or co-edited four collective volumes, published over fifty scholarly articles, and coordinated more than twenty international projects. She serves as deputy head of the Romanian delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.
