Born in 1945 in Bucharest, Ion Grigorescu is a Romanian artist and performer, a key figure in conceptual art. He was one of the first artists to advocate for Romanian anti-art, proposing a radical integration of artistic activities with daily life. Since 1967, he has focused on exploring issues related to sexuality, the body, the landscape, and politics, both from the perspective of the communist regime and of capitalism. He is the creator of numerous films, photographic series, filmed actions, as well as drawings and collages.
