AMPHITRIO : ACOUSTIC JAZZ

Amphitrio, a contemporary jazz trio founded in 2020, brings together pianist Andrei Petrache, bassist Mike Alex, and percussionist Philip Goron. Coming from both classical and alternative backgrounds, they share a close rapport nurtured by friendship, the joy of playing, and improvisation. Their repertoire, composed of original pieces by Petrache, blends modern jazz with Nordic influences, Balkan and Eastern sounds, rock, and electronic elements. Following Points and Seasons, Timelines expands their universe toward electro-groove. Winner of the Best Composition award at Jazz in the Park (2023), Amphitrio tours international festivals and stages with their What Freedom Sounds Like tour.
