Vahram Muratyan

Vahram Muratyan, a renowned French art director and graphic designer, gained international fame with his visual book Paris versus New York (Penguin Books / Ed.10-18, 2011). Known for his passion for colorful narratives and creative typography, Muratyan has delved into the visual identity of major brands like Prada and Longchamp. His collaboration with Longchamp led to the illustration of their iconic Pliage bag using a playful origami-letter motif, while for the British brand Smythson, he adorned their notebooks with a distinctly French "je ne sais quoi." In 2022, Muratyan published Va au Japon (Les Arènes), a minimalist graphic novel chronicling his experiences as a "flâneur" in Japan. Over the past three years, he has served as the creative director for three prominent French publishing houses: spearheading the revival of Éditions Seghers, overseeing the Proche collection (part of the Les Arènes & L’Iconoclaste group), and curating the new Poèmes series by Pocket.
