Hayk Karoyi
Hayk Karoyi, a multi-instrumentalist specialized in Armenian wind instruments, expresses the full range of his cultural identity from his subconscious through these instruments. In his music, you can hear the vibrant palette of the Mediterranean and the rich diversity of
medieval Armenian culture. As someone of mixed heritage, blending the cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean and Armenia, he has never aimed to be purely Armenian in his music or personal identity. His music is always a fusion and an ongoing experiment. It is never
complete, constantly evolving, always seeking something new, and continually surprising.
Through electronic music enriched by the rich folk traditions of the Mediterranean, he will offer a panorama of his tracks, both unreleased and previously released, enhanced by sounds from various regions. Additionally, he will showcase pieces from contemporary artists from Egypt, Iran, Tunisia, Armenia, Lebanon, and beyond. The idea is to create a unique mix of electronic rhythms and traditional folklore, spiced up with some breaks and an experimental touch.
