MISSAK MANOUCHIAN, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS GREAT-GRAND-NIECE’S WORDS

Hasmik Manouchian, the great-niece of poet Missak Manouchian, an immigrant and resistance fighter in France, grew up in Armenia before settling in Lyon, raised between two cultures. For the first time, this discreet woman will reflect on the story of her great-uncle, who was honored in the Panthéon in 2024, during an exceptional dialogue with Le Monde reporter Ariane Chemin, author of several works including Ne réveille pas les enfants (Sous-sol, 2023). This winter, the journalist focused on the figure of Mélinée Manouchian, Missak’s wife, whose footsteps she followed in Armenia.
