« IN THE RUINS » BY ZABEL ESSAYAN

The actress, director, and musician Tatiana Spivakova, along with Olivier Martinaud, actor and director, will be joined by the Armenian sounds of Artyom Minasyan, principal duduk player with the Tatoul Altounian National Orchestra. Together, they will bring Dans les ruines by Zabel Essayan (translated by Leon Ketcheyan, Libretto/Phebus) to life. Words and music will unite to recount the experience of the Adana massacres in 1909, bearing witness to the horrors witnessed by one of Armenia’s greatest women writers.
