ESPACE DES FEMMES – ANTOINETTE FOUQUE: Open every day from 2 pm to 7 pm
Nazik Armenakyan creates long-term projects:
Survivors (2005-2015) about the survivors of the Armenian genocide and
The Stamp of Loneliness (2010-2013) focusing on members of a transgender community in Yerevan. The series
Red Black White showcases women living with HIV in Armenia, whose testimonies—both poignant, cruel, and dignified—deeply affected the photographer. These women are forced to hide their condition from their closest ones and society. Transgressing the impossibilities of representation, Nazik Armenakyan chooses to exploit these restrictions by transforming cultural taboos into veils, fabrics, and objects.
