Narek Barseghyan

Graduating from the Armenian Academy of Fine Arts in 2013, Narek Barseghyan (born in 1993) is an artist living in Yerevan and Gyumri.

Through an artistic practice enriched by various disciplines such as psychology, philosophy, and theology, the artist employs different mediums — including digital paintings, oil canvases mixed with text, and watercolors — to develop his own visual language that reflects his inner world, both conscious and subconscious. These varied landscapes of Armenian regions, while neither photographic nor topographic interpretations, nevertheless provide the most authentic expression of sensitive “portraits” of conflict zones.
