Vahagn Khachatryan

Born in 1991 in Yerevan, Vahagn Khachatryan studied filmmaking at the Beijing Film Academy (China) from 2008 to 2014, where he directed several documentaries. He has worked as a programmer and deputy director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan Film Festival.
As part of the DOC Nomads program, he directed Phone Booth (2014) in Portugal, This Is Not a Pipe (2015) in Hungary, and Lost Dream (2016) in Belgium, all of which were showcased at numerous festivals worldwide. His documentary The Moon, the Sun and the Musketeers was presented and awarded at many international festivals. In 2022, he directed his first feature-length documentary, 5 Dreamers and a Horse, which was screened at various festivals and nominated for the Silver Eye Awards. He is currently developing his second feature-length film, Flying Cows.
