Tamara Stepanyan

Born in 1982 in Armenia, Tamara Stepanyan moved to Lebanon during the collapse of the USSR in the early 1990s and then continued her studies in Denmark at the National Film School.
Since 2013, she has been living and working in France, where she has directed two feature-length documentaries, Braises and Ceux du rivage, before Village des femmes in 2019. The latter participated in over 30 festivals and received 9 international awards, including the Star of SCAM. She is currently in post-production on her first fictional feature, Sauver les morts, filmed in Armenia in the summer of 2024, featuring Camille Cottin and Zar Amir Ebrahimi.
Her new documentary, Mes fantômes arméniens, will be ready in 2025.
